Astrology

Astrology originated in Babylon approximately 2,400 years ago when the Babylonians developed their own form of horoscopes, it then spread to the eastern Mediterranean around 2100 years ago. The word itself is derived from the Greek words astron, meaning "star" and logos meaning "word."  So literally it means language of the stars. It is based on an ancient universal law that coins the phrase which most of us have heard: "As Above, So Below." Otherwise known as the Law of the Microcosm and Macrocosm. Astrology states that the same laws that guide the Universe, also guide humanity.

There are quite a few approaches to Astrology, and as with everything else, you must find the one that resonates most with you.

The seasonal elements of ancient astrology in relation to Zodiac signs are as follows:

Air~Gemini, Libra, Aquarius

Fire~Aries, Leo, Sagittarius

Earth~Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

Water~Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

In Western Astrology the order of the 12 Zodiac signs is: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.

"And then the chart spoke....I am a map, it said, but not a compass. A guidebook, but not a guide.  In broad lines I sketch for you a dozen aspects, roads which you yo may travel but you alone must choose which one to follow, must fill out its forms with the footsteps of your own experience." ~Tracy Marks, Astrologer

"The starry vault of heaven is in truth the open book of cosmic projection...."~Carl Jung
